2016 Spring Tree Planting Season Recap

Wow, another planting season is in the books folks!

Our Spring 2016 School and Community Trees Planting season came to a close earlier this month and all the trees we planted are adding up!

This past season we planted just over 1,200 trees in the District through our School and Community Tree Planting programs. This feat was accomplished in 15 locations and 8 schools across D.C. with the help of over 1000 volunteers.

Our volunteer core also included 128 students (grades K – 12^th) and 68 Team Leaders! In total our volunteers donated over 1260 hours! Check out our Flickr account for photos from this season’s plantings!
