Volunteer Grants

We appreciate our volunteers’ time, and so do their employers! Many companies offer volunteer grants by donating to nonprofits when employees volunteer, or some companies offer paid volunteer time off (VTO) so you can get your hands dirty while on the clock.

Combined Federal Campaign

The Combined Federal Campaign of the National Capital Area (CFC) is the world’s largest and most successful annual workplace charity campaign and is for all federal employees and retirees. Casey Trees’ listing number is 24598.

At this time, the CFC platform is being decommissioned, with prior pledges continuing to be paid out as scheduled. For federal employees and retirees not already enrolled in the CFC, a recurring donation to Casey Trees is the best way to maximize your impact and provide a reliable foundation of support for our region’s urban forests.

What is the deadline for having a recent gift matched?

Matching gift guidelines are established by each company. Deadlines for submitting a matching gift claim vary from 30 days to more than one year from the gift date.

Do companies offer matching gift programs to retirees?

Yes, some companies match gifts made by retirees. Search the database to see if your former employer has a matching gift program for retirees.

Is a gift made by my spouse eligible for a match?

Many companies match gifts made by an employee’s spouse. Search the database above for details on your employer’s matching gift program.

What should I do if I can’t find my employer in the matching gifts database?

If your employer is not in the database, then they may not have a matching gifts program or donations to environmental organizations may not be eligible for a match.

Please contact your HR department and ask that Casey Trees be considered for matching by your employer.
