Over the years, we’ve made significant progress, planting more than 60,000 trees and setting an ambitious goal: to achieve 40% canopy by 2032. Through innovative programs and community partnerships, we’re working tirelessly to create a greener, healthier DC for generations to come.

Sponsor a Tree in Historic DC Parks for America’s 250th Anniversary
Now through the end of 2026, you can support the planting of 250 trees in historic federal parks and lands across Washington, DC. Each $500 donation plants one tree, with a certificate documenting your tree’s species, location, and the name of your family, friend, or loved one.
