This free service includes professional arborist consultation, expert-selected trees suited to DC’s urban spots, and a tree planting – a $500+ value. This is provided in partnership with the District Department of Energy & Environment RiverSmart Homes Program.

Some Fine Print
We cannot plant in the public right-of-way or street tree spaces; please contact 311 for street tree planting or care requests. Federal properties are also excluded, as we coordinate directly with the National Park Service and other federal agencies for planting opportunities. Similarly, we coordinate planting at public parks with the appropriate DC government or federal agencies. While we welcome information about park spaces in need of trees and are happy to advocate for additional planting, all planting is coordinated with the entity that owns or manages the land.
