March Events Are Here!

Our Community Tree Plantings are picking back up for the spring and we’d love to see you out in the field planting with us! Or, you can join us at our apple grafting workshop, or come cheer on the Wizards with us. Be sure to keep your eyes out for more exciting things to come as we celebrate the emergence of spring!

Saturday 3/4 – Washington Wizards Game

An exciting collab on the horizon is a partnership with our very own Wizards! Please join the Washington Wizards and Casey Trees on Saturday March 4th vs. the Raptors to promote environmental awareness. A portion of each ticket purchased will go toward planting trees in the DMV area. Get your tickets for the Green Night game HERE!

Saturday 3/11 – Community Tree Planting at Armed Forces Retirement Home

Welcome back to our spring season of Community Tree Plantings! Join us at Armed Forces Retirement home as we plant trees! You provide the volunteers, we provide all the necessary tools and supplies to plant the trees. After learning the tools and techniques, participants will be split up into groups supervised by a trained volunteer Team Leader and begin planting trees throughout the park.

Friday 3/17 – Community Tree Planting at Holy Rood Cemetery

Welcome back to our spring season of Community Tree Plantings! Join us at Holy Rood Cemetery to plant trees! You provide the volunteers, we provide all the necessary tools and supplies to plant the trees. After learning the tools and techniques, participants will be split up into groups supervised by a trained volunteer Team Leader and begin planting trees throughout the park.

Wednesday 3/22 – Apple Tree Grafting Seminar

Join Casey Trees Field Manager Nick Smalley for this exciting new workshop to learn about the basics of fruit tree grafting and take home your own baby apple tree! We’ll cover proper grafting techniques, discuss the benefits of fruit trees and how they differ from shade trees, and each attendee will get to walk away with a freshly grafted apple tree!

Welcome back to our spring season of Community Tree Plantings! Join in Glenncrest to plant trees! You provide the volunteers, we provide all the necessary tools and supplies to plant the trees. After learning the tools and techniques, participants will be split up into groups supervised by a trained volunteer Team Leader and begin planting trees throughout the park.
