Martin Luther King Jr. Community Tree Care: Anacostia Park
January 18, 2025 @ 9:00 am - 12:00 pm EST
Join us for Martin Luther King Jr. as Casey Trees teams up with Friends of Anacostia Park for a fun day of service around the Skate Park Pavilion!
We will be mulching some of our newly planted trees (planted by our volunteers last year!) around the park along with other organizations who will be conducting various clean up and service activities around the area.
Your help with weeding, mulching and watering these vulnerable trees will give them a leg up in becoming an important part of our growing tree canopy.
You provide the volunteers, we provide all the necessary tools and supplies to care for trees. Participants will receive a short, hands-on training on site. After learning the tools and techniques, participants will split up into groups and begin caring for trees throughout the park.
Register now! The day before this event, we will send a logistics and directions email with detailed information about how to get to the site. You will receive this email ONLY if you are signed-up for this event.
