The Assistant Nursery Manager assists the Nursery Manager in a wide range of tree production-related activities at our Tree Farm including planting, staking, tying, pruning, fertilization, inventory, etc.; equipment procurement, maintenance, and related tasks. We’re looking for someone organized, communicative, with experience in horticulture, and an interest in tree production and grounds and facilities maintenance.
Farm Crew | Berryville, VA
Members of the Farm Crew perform a wide range of manual tasks at our Tree Farm. Qualified individuals will have experience working with tractors, mowers, small equipment, power tools, and hand tools. Duties will include tree production, grounds and facilities maintenance, equipment maintenance/repair, etc.
Grants Associate | Administration | Washington, DC
The Grants Associate coordinates and supports the full lifecycle of all grants for Casey Trees including grant intake, grant writing, grant management, grant tracking, and related functions/activities. You should be an excellent writer, highly organized, detail-oriented, and self-motivated.
Partnerships Associate | Communications & Development | Washington, DC
The Partnerships Associate identifies, develops, and stewards mutually beneficial partnerships to support the work of Casey Trees. This person will maintain funder data, cultivate and manage our membership program, research potential funding partners, draft communications and proposals to foundations and corporations, and provide administrative support for the Communications & Development team.
Policy & Advocate Associate | Policy & Land Conservation | Washington, DC
The Policy & Advocacy Associate works on our legislative efforts, both in-house and in concert with our volunteer corps. This person will track local legislation, regulations, and planning and provide comprehensive research on relevant policy topics. They will also prepare and present testimony and public comments and assist in developing DC-based advocacy campaigns.
Urban Forestry Crew Chief | Tree Operations | Washington, DC
The Crew Chief executes the day-to-day operations for all tree planting, care, and related activities in the Tree Operations Department, including the management/oversight of Tree Planting Crew members and their daily tasks.
Urban Forester | Tree Operations | Washington, DC
The Urban Forester will manage and execute tree planting programs on both public and private lands. This position scouts and schedules tree planting or related consultations on a year-round basis with property owners, local government, businesses, and industry partners. The Urban Forester will coordinates spring, fall, and winter tree plantings to flow seamlessly with other tree planting activities and events.
