For many, the holiday season is the most wonderful time of the year, filled with family gatherings, serene wintry landscapes, and cheesy Hallmark movies. For others, it’s a chaotic month overflowing with pesky in-laws, iced-over windshields right when you need to leave for work, and a mad dash to shop for gifts before stores close.
If you’re overwhelmed, let us take the stress of gift-brainstorming off your plate—that way, you’ll have more room for pie!
Our 2025 Holiday Gift Guide is the one-stop shop to help you buy gifts for the people in your life, from the environmentalists to the DC-heads and beyond. With every gift purchased, you’re supporting our mission to create a greener, healthier DC for years to come.
So, sit back, relax with a cup of hot cocoa, and let us guide you through this cheerful and tree-ful season. (Make sure to order all physical gifts by 3pm on Tuesday, December 16 if you’d like them to arrive before December 25.)
Re-Treeing With Style

Casey Trees Long Sleeve
Perfect for the winter, our long-sleeve shirt is an essential piece for the tree-lover’s wardrobe. Casey Trees volunteers will love decoding the images that make up the letters on the shirt, capturing each detail of a tree care or planting event. Made with 100% cotton, this shirt helps you stay comfortable and warm as you care for trees, remove invasive plants, or simply relax at home.

Beanies, Beanies, Beanies!
The colder months can bring on cabin fever, so it’s important not to lose your head—or its accessories. Brace the cold with one of our stylish beanies! For the minimalists, our waffle beanie comes in a natural blue-gray and classic silhouette, giving a timeless look as you walk the city streets. For those who like a bit more pizzazz, our DC skyline beanie outlines the historic buildings of the District, adorned with a pom-pom for added fun. Limited quantities available, so get them while they are in stock!

DC Flag Short Sleeve T-Shirt
2025 has been quite the year for DC, and for many, it’s granted the chance to double down on District pride. What better way to rep this pride than with our take on the classic DC flag tee! This Comfort Colors tee is a fan favorite, designed with a broken-in feel to keep you cozy through whatever the day brings. For tree-lovers and DC-heads alike, it’s an excellent way to show your city—and its trees—some love! After all, DC is the City of Trees.
Explore Our Canopy

Tree Species Guide
Perfect for tree-lovers of all ages, our tree species guide is a helpful resource for learning about and researching the trees in your corner of DC. Spiral-bound, handheld-sized, and made with water-resistant pages, this guide is equipped to be taken out in the field to help spark curiosity and identify species in real time. With your new tree identification skills, you can impress your friends and win the respect of even the most stubborn family members—the greatest gift of all.

Canvas Tote Bag
Of course, you need a bag to carry around your new species guide! Our canvas tote bag is a perennial favorite, made with sturdy, environmentally friendly materials to support you year-round. Sporting a map of DC’s tree canopy, this bag lets everyone around you in Trader Joe’s know that you’re serious about re-treeing the District. Better yet, our tote features longer straps, essential for slinging a bag over a thick winter coat without slipping off your shoulder (if you know, you know).
A Gift That Grows

DEDICATE A Tree TO SOMEONE YOU LOVE IN a DC National Park
Just in time for the holidays, we recently launched our 250 Years of America, 250 Trees for its Capital campaign, in partnership with the National Park Service. The goal is to plant 250 native and historic trees across DC’s national parks—and what better way to honor a loved one than by giving a gift that will continue to grow. For $500, you can sponsor and dedicate a professionally planted tree in one of DC’s historic national parks. With this donation, you will receive a certificate addressed to the honoree, showing the tree’s species and the park where it is located. Better yet, this makes for a great last-minute gift—we’ll email you a print-at-home certificate, perfect for framing or slipping into a card. Only 250 of these trees will be dedicated and planted at these historic national parks, and only a handful in parks on Capitol Hill and DC, so be sure to dedicate your tree soon.
Sponsor a tree by Monday, December 22 to receive your print-at-home certificate before December 25.

Symbolic Tree Adoption
Interested in honoring a tree-lover but can’t sponsor a newly planted tree? Our symbolic tree adoptions are a great way to show your love and appreciation while making an impactful difference. Each adoption supports Casey Trees’ tree planting and education programs, including a symbolic tree (your choice of tuliptree, Yoshino cherry, London planetree, dawn redwood, or red maple) and a commemorative Certificate of Adoption for the honoree. And like our tree dedication, a symbolic tree adoption is an excellent gift in a time crunch, as we’ll send you the certificate to print at home.
Adopt a tree by Monday, December 22 to receive your print-at-home certificate before December 25.
This holiday season, find some peace of mind through supporting an organization and cause that you can trust. Give a gift that sparks curiosity, celebrates local pride, and inspires impact.
And remember to place your order by the end of the day on Tuesday, December 16, to ensure a timely delivery before December 25.
