Three crew members from the Casey Trees farm in Berryville, VA had the opportunity to spend a couple days with our crew in DC to see how operations happen on this side of the river. With a jam-packed schedule, over 60 trees were planted across the District in just 2 days alone – we LOVE to see it!
When we visited the farm a few months ago, we learned that operations could range anywhere from care, to inspection, to extraction. And while the work is so clearly difficult and physically demanding, the passion they have for their work is clear to see just by talking to them. This translated identically in DC, with our Berryville teammates blending in seamlessly as they assisted us in both handling a tree delivery and high-volume residential plantings those two days.
Among the scheduled plantings included a ‘large-parcel’ planting that contained 23 trees for one location – talk about making the most of a space!
