Tomorrow, November 29, is #GivingTuesday, and this year stands to be the biggest yet. 

What started back in 2012 with a handful of nonprofits, #GivingTuesday has quickly grown into a global giving movement that has reached over 100 countries worldwide and raised hundreds of millions of dollars in online donations. 

#GivingTuesday has become an incredible force for good and a beautiful day of impact around the world. 

This year, we have three exciting updates that we’d love to share with you. 

1. 2022 has been Casey Trees’ biggest year yet. From trees to staff to education. Planting over 5,000 trees this year! Check out our full breakdown here.

2. While we are so excited about those numbers, we are most proud that it has been done with a prioritized approach. Our wins have been prioritized and targeted to where and who needs it the most. We don’t want to just be here for the next 3, 5, or even 10 years. We need to plan now, for generations to come.

We have been focusing efforts on planting in Wards 5, 7, and 8 and are proud to announce that 58% of our trees planted this year were planted in these target zones. 

Additionally, 66% percent of our 180 events held were in these wards with a focus on youth education.
