Unbe-leaf-ably Creative Costumes for Halloween

Ah Halloween – the holiday full of great intentions. Now is the time to start on those costumes! Don’t settle for any last minute, thrown together, lame costume, arrive in style with a creative and fun costume. We have a few ideas for you (that are, of course, slightly tree themed).

Bald Eagle From the U.S. National Arboretum
Head out as our national symbol- an eagle. But not just any old eagle. Put together your best bird costume and head out as Mr. President, First Lady, Honor, or Glory – the eagle family that resides in a Tulip Poplar tree amongst the Azalea Collection at the U.S. National Arboretum.

Bob Ross and his “Happy Trees”
Painter Bob Ross is known for painting “happy little trees” on his PBS program The Joy of Painting. Bring joy to everyone you see on Halloween by going as Ross himself, or pairing up with a friend. One can go as Ross and the other person can be one of those happy trees Bob created.

Koala Bear and a Eucalyptus Tree
Heading to a party with a significant other, bbfl, or little kid? Partner up and go as a Koala and a Eucalyptus tree! This would be too easy if your child can still be worn in a carrier.

Groot from Guardians of the Galaxy
Getting inspired by our list of mystical trees, perfect your best bark look by dressing up as the one and only Groot from Guardians of the Galaxy. Branch hands optional. Halloween is on a traditional workday, after all.
