THE LEAFLET

To cap off the month, we hosted an exciting Land Conservation Day at Hellbender Brewing Company, and it was nothing short of spectacular! The event was a lively celebration of our conservation efforts, perfectly complemented by some of the finest local brews.

The atmosphere was buzzing with energy as attendees participated in a variety of fun activities. Tree tours provided an educational and inspiring look at the importance of our urban forests, while live music set the perfect backdrop for a relaxed and joyful afternoon.

Food lovers were in for a treat with delicious offerings from Beef Space BBQ and of course, the exclusive Casey Trees “Take It Ease-Mint”, watermelon hibiscus seltzer garnished with fresh mint (as a nod to our easement program) was a big hit. This special drink added a unique and refreshing touch to the festivities, embodying the spirit of the event!

One of the most memorable aspects of the day was the sense of community. It was so wonderful to see a bunch of volunteers and longtime friends come out to show their support! People from all over the district came together, united by their shared love for conservation and our greenspaces.

We are incredibly grateful to everyone who joined us, making it a truly unforgettable day. Your enthusiasm and support are what drive our mission forward, and together, we can continue to make a lasting difference in preserving the natural beauty and ecological health of our city.
