Register today to get outside and enjoy this hidden gem of DC.

Saturday, November 4th – Community Tree Planting at Royal Courts Apartments

Join Casey Trees as we plant trees at Royal Courts Apartments. Come out for this amazing opportunity to add trees to this Ward 8 community. Royal Courts Apartments are located close to Ballou High School, making this a fun and easy location for local residents to come out and make a difference. By joining us for this planting, you will be creating a shady space that residents will enjoy for years to come.

Sunday, November 12th – Tree Walk at Oxon Run with Tree Ambassador Glenn Hall

Join Casey Trees with our Ambassador Glenn Hall for a walk around Oxon Run. We’ll start off with an easy-paced walk, where Glenn will give an overview of the history of Oxon Run Park and then point out some of the species of trees in the park, and finally go over the importance of green spaces such as Oxon Run Park.

Monday, November 13th – Community Tree Planting at Elsavetgrad Cemetery

Come out for a tree planting at Elsavetgrad Cemetary. Help us add trees to the wonderful greenspace located in Ward 8. Elsavetgrad is a Jewish cemetery that has a deeply rooted history here in Washington, DC. The cemetery is a close 10-minute walk from Congress Heights metro station, making this an easily accessible tree planting for any members of the community! We hope to see you there.

Saturday, November 18th – Community Tree Planting at DC Water Brentwood Reservoir

Join us at DC Water Brentwood Reservoir to contribute to their green initiatives by adding trees. DC Water is developing a community solar project on the capped Brentwood Reservoir, a joint venture between the National Housing Trust and Urban Ingenuity, and SunLight General Capital. They have entered a binding site license with DC Water to own and operate the system for the next 20 years. Come out to see the site for yourself, add trees to the 18-acre property, and learn more about DC Water’s projects!
