Happy Pride Month! We’ll be celebrating Pride all month in support of our LGBTQ+ community. We understand the importance of a safe and inclusive environment for all individuals, regardless of their sexual orientation or gender identity. Casey Trees is committed to promoting diversity and equality throughout everything we do; from the communities we serve to the work behind the scenes. Friday 6/9 – DC Front Runners Pride Run 5k at Congressional Cemetery

Join over 1,000 runners/walkers/celebrators at the 11th annual DC Front Runners Pride Run 5K. This event was voted the Best 2022 LGBTQ Event (Washington Blade). DC Front Runners is a running, walking, and social club for LGBTQ people and friends in DC area. The annual 5k is hosted at the Historic Congressional Cemetery, a beloved community spot and home to almost 500 of our trees!

Saturday 6/10 – DC Pride Parade

Casey Trees is walking in this year’s Pride Parade! We welcome you to celebrate with the LGBTQ+ community and its allies at the historic Capital Pride Parade! This beloved tradition honors our history and acknowledges the evolution of the LGBTQ+ neighborhoods in Washington, DC, while respecting the origins and importance of taking to the streets in our fight for equality. Be prepared to experience one of the largest Pride Parades to ever take place in the Nation’s Capital – and keep your eyes open for the Casey Trees Pride float!

Sunday 6/11 – DC Pride Festival

Join the LGBTQ+ community on America’s Mainstreet, historic Pennsylvania Avenue, for the Capital Pride Festival. Enjoy a full day of entertainment on three stages, food, drink, and advocacy with over 300 exhibitors. The festival is the largest annual event in the national capital region and continues to be free to the public.
