Ready2Play Ward by Ward Meetings

The Department of Parks and Recreation (DPR) is working on creating a new parks master plan called Ready 2 Play D.C. This plan will be a vision to guide DPR in their work for the next 20 years. It’ll include things like what rec centers will get updated, where a new community garden may be added and, of course, where trees and green infrastructure may be added.

DPR has announced a series of upcoming virtual meetings to get community input on what neighbors would like to see out of their local parks. This is your opportunity to tell DPR about the trees at your local park and why they are so important. RSVP today to attend your Ward’s community engagement event (they are listed by Ward not by date).

Missed your Ward’s meeting or can’t make a meeting, but have questions or comments about parks and recreation in your ward or neighborhood? Email us at ready2play@dc.gov.
