Kids Tree Climb at the U.S. National Arboretum

Has your child ever dreamed of taking to new heights? Well this is their chance to reach those new heights and climb a tree like a professional arborist! While they might not rescue an eaglet, they will definitely have a great time. Join the U.S. National Arboretum on Saturday, May 20 from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm for a Kids Tree Climb!

This event allows youth 4 – 14 years old experience the thrill of ascending into a mature tree under the direct supervision of a professional, seasoned tree care worker (arborist)! Youth participants are fully secured with a rope, saddle and safety gear. Davey Tree Company will be on site enlightening everyone about the growing profession of urban tree care, and rewards of working in the tree care industry. Parents or guardians must sign a waiver prior their children’s participation in any climbing activity.

This is a free event and will meet at the Arbor House. Water will be provided and there is food available for purchase on-site. There is parking available onsite and the closest Metrorail stop is Stadium Armory Station on the Blue and Orange lines. Transfer to the B2 Metrobus; disembark the bus on Bladensburg Road at Rand Street, just past the Arboretum sign on the right. Walk back to sign at R Street and walk down R Street 2 blocks to Arboretum entrance.
