Go Climb a Tree: Spruce Up Your Family’s Weekend Plans

Don’t miss out this weekend! Has your child ever dreamed of taking to new heights? Well this is their chance to reach those new heights and climb a tree like a professional! Join the U.S. National Arboretum and The Davey Tree Company this Saturday from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm for a Kids Tree Climb! The tree  climbing day at the Arboretum is a perennial favorite for our summer crew. Don’t take our word for it, though – we asked 2011 Summer Crew veteran Grace Pooley her thoughts. “Tree Climbing Day was one of my favorite days working at Casey Trees. There is something so unbelievably cool about going that high up in a tree and getting to do something people wish they could.” Here’s sneak peak of the action we shot last year.

This could be you (sort of):

Don’t worry, we have got all the bases covered. This is a free event and will meet at the Arbor House on Saturday, May 20. Seasoned professional experts from Davey Tree will be on site to directly supervise youth 4 – 14 years old as they experience the thrill of ascending into a mature tree fully secured with a rope, saddle and safety gear.

Get outside, do something memorable with your family, and learn a little something. What more could you ask for?
