An Evening of Appreciation

Every fall, Casey Trees hosts an Evening of Appreciation reception for Members at the Ally level and greater and special guests to thank them for their generous support and friendship.

This year’s party at the Society of the Cincinnati at Anderson House on Embassy Row was our best yet and its thanks to our amazing sponsors — American Revolution Institute of the Society of the Cincinnati; Design Cuisine; Great Lakes Brewing Company; New Columbia Distillers; The Pursuit Wine Bar; and Whole Foods Market P Street — and our equally amazing Members and friends that turned out to celebrate trees and kickoff our fall School and Community Tree Planting season.

Not only was the venue stunning but it boasted two magnolia trees believed to be original to the historic mansion. Executive Director, Mark Buscaino was so taken back by them, they inspired his remarks:

“The reason why we have a [Membership] program, of which you are so generous, is because Casey Trees doesn’t want to be here for five years or ten years or fifteen or even fifty. We have to be here for a hundred years because that is the age of the resource we manage and we are trying to protect and I can’t thank you enough for being a part of that.”

Membership is one of the best ways to support Casey Trees’ work and help ensure that we can continue to plant trees at schools, parks, recreation centers, places of faith and more — and protect existing trees all across D.C.
