Impress Your Friends…

Does this sound familiar? You find yourself walking around a park, on a hike, or shuffling to work, and you come across a beautiful, unusual, large, or odd tree. Do you wonder to yourself – what the heck is that? If that rings any bells – or you’re just interested in learning more about trees – join us at Trees 201.

During this training you not only learn how to identify trees commonly found in Washington, D.C., but you will be able to immediately put those skills to the test! After the classroom session, we head out into the field to inventory the Kennedy Recreation Center. Inventorying helps us get an idea of trees found in the area, track them, and analyze how they are helping us and the environment.

This is a great way to spend some time outdoors, contribute to your community and the environment, and learn something new!
