Volunteer Opportunities
Casey Trees offers volunteer opportunities for individuals of all ages and skill levels. Everyone can play a role in restoring the tree canopy of the Nation's capital.
Interested individuals and groups can volunteer their time and services with Casey Trees at Tree Planting, Tree Inventory and Tree Care events. Individuals who would like to serve as a tree ambassador to the community on behalf of Casey Trees can become a Citizen Forester. Citizen Foresters teach new volunteers how to properly plant and care for trees and spread the word about Casey Trees and the value of urban forests.
If you would like to organize a volunteer activity for your group or have a question regarding an already scheduled event, please contact Carol Herwig, Volunteer Coordinator, at cherwig@caseytrees.org or 202-349-1907.
Volunteer Waiver Form
Alll participants must turn in a signed Volunteer Waiver Form before being allowed to volunteer at a Casey Trees event.
We welcome children at tree planting events. Children under 18 years of age must be accompanied by a parent or guardian and their Waiver Forms must be signed by their legal guardian.
