Volunteers planting trees at a Community Tree Planting

Sponsorship

For ten years, Casey Trees has been one the nation’s leading urban forestry organizations — thanks in part to our generous sponsors who remain committed to restoring our city’s tree canopy. From local businesses and organizations to foundations to even concerned citizens like you, our sponsors play a vital role in the success and longevity of our programs each and every year.

Become a Sponsor

For individuals and companies interested in taking a leading role in restoration efforts, we offer a number of sponsorship opportunities. We are happy to tailor sponsorship packages to meet your giving parameters and philanthropic goals. Please consider supporting one of the following programs.

Community Tree Planting

Our Community Tree Planting program helps groups and individuals improve their neighborhoods by planting trees in locations they identify. Planting sites include schools, parks, recreations centers, places of worship, residential property and more. We provide the trees, tools and technical assistance free of charge. Tree recipients commit to watering and caring for them the first three years they are in the ground. Each Community Tree Planting site with the exception of schools include ten or more trees.

Sponsorships begin at $2,500 ($250 per tree).

High School Summer Crew

Each summer our High School Summer Crew program employs a select number of students from the Washington, D.C. area to care for Casey Trees-planted trees across the District. While the emphasis is on caring for the District’s trees, crew members also participate in professional development activities, such GIS workshops, and engage the public as tree ambassadors on behalf of our organization. More than 100 students have served as Summer Crew members since 2002.

Sponsorship is $4,000 per student.

Water By-Cycle

Our Water By-Cycle fleet travels by street bikes to neighborhoods difficult to access by truck. Water By-Cycle teams inspect, water and mulch the most vulnerable of trees – those that have been in the ground less than two years. During their tree care work, Water By-Cycle teams interact with the public, and in so doing bring the message of tree care to residents across the District.

Sponsorship is $12,000 per team per year.

TreeWise

Now in it second year, our TreeWise nature-and place-based summer education program engages youth ranging in age from 6 to 10 years old. Casey Trees’ education staff travels to summer camps across the District to lead hands-on, interactive lessons that incorporate physical activities with information about trees and their benefits.

Sponsorship is $15,000 per summer.
