Cornus kousa

With distinct pointed white flowers and dark green leaves that turn reddish-purple in the fall, the kousa dogwood is an excellent small tree that adds year-round beauty. Flowers are followed by berry-like fruits that persist into fall and the mottled, tan and gray bark is attractive in the winter.

A slow to medium growing tree that does best in full sun and partial shade, the Cornus kousa will usually reach a height of 25 feet.
