However, under certain circumstances, Casey Trees may perform these services on trees that have been planted by Casey Trees.

Street trees - which are usually located in the public space between the street and the sidewalk - are planted and maintained by the District's Urban Forestry Administration (UFA), a department of DDOT.

Requests for a street tree to be inspected, planted, pruned or removed can be made by calling the service request center at 311 or making the request online. Hold on to your confirmation number to track progress on your request.

Casey Trees already has a couple programs for Washington, DC homeowners to plant trees on their property. Before moving forward with this form, be sure that one of these low-cost programs below does not already fit your needs:
  • TREE REBATE - Plant a tree at home and we will pay you back! You pick the tree you want, plant it and receive up to $100 back per tree. Click here for more information.
  • RIVERSMART HOMES - We can plant a tree for you! After a home consult, we make species recommendations and plant the trees for a $50 per tree co-pay. Click here for more information.

Casey Trees has programs that enable communities, neighborhoods, and schools to plant in public and private spaces. Before moving forward with this form, be sure that one of the community planting programs below does not already meet your needs:
  • COMMUNITY TREE PLANTING - Organize a community or neighborhood tree planting! Approved applicants receive trees, tools, technical assistance, and help recruiting volunteers. Click here to see more information and apply.
  • SCHOOL TREE PLANTING - Organize a learning opportunity for students! We re-tree school campuses with the help of students, faculty, and parents. Click here to see more information and apply.
