Calling all tree savers!
Have you noticed invasive vines like English Ivy taking over trees in your neighborhood? Do you want to do something easy and fun that helps preserve your local tree canopy?
Join the Chesapeake Climate Action Network and Casey Trees to learn about our Tree Rescue Team Program. We’ve already surveyed hundreds of trees in Ward 4 that are at risk of dying from invasive vines, now we need YOU to roll up your sleeves and help save them!
Join this session, learn why this work is important, how our program is structured, and pledge to spend a few hours this fall saving trees with us in Ward 4 DC. In this online meeting, we will go over:
– The threat of invasive vines
– Assisting homeowners with vine removal
– Ward 4 survey results
– Volunteer roles
– Fall action plan – How YOU can get involved
*note*: this meeting is geared toward Ward 4 residents, but anyone interested in volunteering in Ward 4 is welcome to join!
