Nature Every Month July: Urban Forest Hike
A Soul Trak Outdoors × Casey Trees Partnership
Join Soul Trak and Casey Trees for a guided exploration of Washington DC’s urban forest along the George Washington Carver and Fort Circle Trail.
What to Expect:
Meet at 10 AM in front of the Anacostia Community Museum for a brief welcome and introductions. Then split into small groups with Soul Trak leaders and Casey Trees Naturalists to explore the trail, identify tree species, and learn about the role of urban canopy in our neighborhoods.
Before or after the walk, make sure to stop by the farmers market in front of the museum to browse local vendors and pick up fresh seasonal goods from the community.
What to Bring
– Water bottle
– Sunscreen and bug spray
– Comfortable, close-toed walking shoes
– Weather-appropriate clothing
– Curiosity and a sense of adventure!
Nature Every Month is Soul Trak’s year-round series dedicated to getting people outdoors and connected to nature in and around DC. No experience necessary — just show up ready to explore.
