Join CCAN and Friends of Sligo Creek to remove Invasive Vines along Sligo Creek in Hyattsville, MD.
We will meet along Sligo Creek (exact GPS coordinates will be emailed to participants) at 9am and work until about 11am. We will focus on non-native invasive vines including porcelainberry (Ampelopsis glandulosa var. brevipedunculata), English ivy (Hedera helix), and Kudzu (pueraria montana). Native Virginia creeper and poison ivy are also present and beneficial, so we will avoid those.
Please wear long pants, long sleeves, and close-toed shoes. Instructions and tools will be provided, so just bring yourself and a good attitude!
A reminder email will be sent out the day before with detailed instructions on where to meet.
