Since April, 80 volunteers have volunteered their time and hard work to remove invasive plants in Langdon Park. We’ve removed large amounts of towering bush honeysuckle and porcelain berry that carpeted the forest floor. Join us, as we recognize all the hard work of volunteers alongside community members, park neighbors, and agency leaders that have all made this work possible.
We will have food, drinks, community and a special activity! Melanie Weldon-Soiset, a DC-based poet, will be leading a contemplative exercise in the park.
We will meet in grass under the big sycamore tree near the recreation center and dog park. A reminder email will be sent out the day. See you there!
