We’re teaming up with our friend and longtime partner, Little Sesame, to host our annual Earth Day 5K on Saturday, April 23 at 9am. This year we’re going in-person!

You could say that we know how to throw a party with Little Sesame (see, the Sixth Annual Canopy Awards and/or Arbor Day Delivered) so this isn’t any ole starting or finish line. Powered by Pacers Running, we’re descending on Navy Yard for some serious fun celebrating our collective power and our dedication to our dear sweet Mother Earth.

Register and grab your bib today! While there are a few options, there are only 75 tickets for the Run + Swag + After Party Ticket which includes coffee fuel up, race bib, the run, a branded Nalgene water bottle, a donation to Casey Trees, and access to the rooftop after-party. At the after-party you will see Little Sesame, Phil’s Finest, Athletic Brewing Co., and more! Water bottles will be available for pick up post-race at check-in.

We’ve said it before and we’ll say it again: the plantable space that the government and organizations have access to is not growing. In fact, it’s shrinking. The next frontier for the urban forest is private land, which is to say, let the race begin!

And while it’s great to take a day to thank our Earth for keeping us alive and well, it’s also important to contribute to its wellbeing year-round. Plant it forward and pledge to make a difference all year. Our planet, its trees, and future generations thank you.
