2025 Spring Break Camp

Looking for a fun, educational, and meaningful way for your kids to spend spring break? Join Casey Trees’ Planet Protectors camp from April 14–18 and discover how to care for our planet while exploring the natural beauty of Washington, DC. Designed for young DC residents in grades 3 through 5, this full-week program is a unique opportunity to become an environmental steward and develop a lifelong connection to the outdoors.

Every day at Planet Protectors is an adventure. Activities are rooted in STEAM (science, technology, engineering, arts, and math) themes, featuring hands-on science experiments, creative crafts, neighborhood hikes, and a special field trip to the US National Arboretum. Campers will dive into topics such as air quality, climate change, pollinators, urban forestry, watershed care, and environmental stewardship. By the end of the week, your child will have a better understanding of the natural world and how they can make a difference in protecting it.

Casey Trees is committed to accessibility and equity in outdoor education. Thanks to generous support from grants and foundation donations, we’re able to offer low-cost programs and scholarships. If cost is a barrier, please don’t hesitate to apply for a scholarship during registration.

Outdoor learning is essential for a child’s mental, physical, and emotional well-being. At Planet Protectors, campers will make new friends, work as a team, and cultivate a deeper appreciation for their local environment. Each day offers a mix of fun and discovery, from exploring air quality and climate change to learning about pollinators and urban trees.
