Introducing the Twelfth Annual Urban Tree Summit, brought to you by Montgomery Parks and Casey Trees. This year’s summit will focus on the contributions that diverse areas of study and different organizations with disparate missions are making to the field of urban forestry. Join us as we gather insights from leading experts across the nation, exploring groundbreaking initiatives in urban and suburban tree planting, protection, and preservation.

This event is an exceptional opportunity for arborists, professionals in the landscape, environmental, and green industries, engineers, designers, housing developers, and interested citizens alike, to take advantage of this opportunity to learn from experts, experienced peers, and our local, tree-focused, and mission-driven organizations.

This year, we are delighted to reintroduce the successful combination of a virtual day and multi-day field sessions. Participants can join us outside and discover the trees of our nation’s capital at any of the three field sessions held across the DMV. Alternatively, attendees can choose to join us online for a day of virtual sessions, where they will have the opportunity to hear from leading experts in the field of forestry on topics like the role of public gardens, tips for Tie-in Point (TIP) for Climbing, and more.

Our aim is for the sessions to foster engaging conversations, provide networking opportunities, and create an impactful conference experience for all participants.

Continuing Education Units (CEUs) will be awarded by renowned organizations, including the International Society of Arboriculture (ISA), American Society of Landscape Architects (ASLA), MD Licensed Tree Expert (MD LTE), and Society of American Foresters (SAF). Participants can earn CEUs for both the field sessions and the virtual session. Further details regarding the exact number of CEUs will be provided soon.
