Youth Earth Day Challenge

We have an exciting opportunity on the horizon for young tree enthusiasts to learn more about their local environment by participating in fun educational activities!

Introducing the Casey Trees’ inaugural youth Earth Day Challenge! Throughout the month of April, we’re inviting schools to showcase the trees on their campus, as well as share how their school can make a difference to our urban forest. Following the challenge, we’ll be highlighting the best in each category in our Leaflet newsletter.

The challenge consists of four categories: A Climate Solution Poster, Video PSA or Earth Day Poem or rap read by student(s), Spring Break week Leaf and Ecosystem Exploration, and a Tree Care Relay. Learn the challenge specifics here.

Participating schools will also be entered into consideration for a Junior Urban Forester Field Trip with our Education staff! Other prizes include Casey Trees swag, a future tree planting, and more. Participants are encouraged to take part in any, or ALL, of the four categories – however, each school will only be considered for one prize. Stay tuned and winners will be announced in early May!
