Mark a Grateful #GivingTuesday Tomorrow with a Quiz on the Differences Between Volunteer and Crew Plantings

Quite a few overarching themes can be drawn from 2020, but one we’re drawn to is gratitude. Throughout it all, our community is there. Whether that is Team Leaders and volunteers showing up early on chilly Saturday mornings to plant trees or in the blazing heat of summer to inventory trees, advocates writing testimony protecting trees, our donors supporting our work year-round, or our crew planting trees despite weekly protocol changes.

While we’ve always been grateful for our Citizen Foresters and other volunteers, this year without them has really brought into focus how important they are to our mission.

Over the next month, we’ll be highlighting some of the great work that our tree planting crew has been able to accomplish over the past year. But on #GivingTuesday it’s all about our volunteers, how thankful we are for all they’ve done for us over the years and how much we’re looking forward to planting with them again in the future!

Since we missed out on our spring and fall planting season together, we thought it would be interesting and fun to look at the difference between a volunteer-based season and a crew based season.
