The Arboretum’s Open!

D.C.’s parks, restaurants and businesses are reopening and that includes the hidden gem of Bladensburg Road NE, the U.S. National Arboretum!

Home to the International Tree Climbing Championships in 2017 and scores of fascinating, unusual, and unique trees big and small, this 446-acre greenspace in D.C. is truly magical. Wander through the Flowering Tree Walk, admire the sweeping view from the Japanese Woodland, Asian Valley, China Valley, Korean Hillside, see a collection of state trees in the National Grove of State Trees, and take in the grandeur of the Capitol Columns. There’s so much to see!

Like most things welcoming folks back, there are limited hours and a few restrictions – most notably that the Arboretum is open Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays from 1-5pm. Review those here before you plan your adventure.
