You give, they match, D.C.’s trees wins. #GivingTuesday is tomorrow!

Tomorrow is the day! Facebook is matching up to the first seven million dollars in donations on #GivingTuesday. We have our Facebook donate button all set up and ready to roll.

Take your gift the extra mile and give early tomorrow to harness the power of Facebook’s generous match. You can give all day (and all season!) at caseytrees.org/giving. If ever you’ve considered donating to retree-ing D.C. tomorrow is your day.

This has been a year of highs and lows for trees. From planting the most amount of trees ever in a season (yay!) to record-breaking rain and heat (boo!) our city’s trees face it all. They’re a crucial part of our city no matter what. Trees provide unmatched beauty to our streets and parks, filter the air we breathe, shade our streets, sidewalks, and home and even mitigate stormwater. Every tree, no matter how small, benefits our city.

By donating tomorrow for #GivingTuesday you can do something for your urban forest that does so much for you. Remember – donate early on Facebook to take advantage of Facebook’s generous match! Once those seven million are gone, they’re gone for good.

Wait, remind me what  #GivingTuesday is? #GivingTuesday is a global day of giving that harnesses the collective power of individuals, communities and organizations to encourage philanthropy and to celebrate generosity worldwide. Following Thanksgiving and the widely recognized shopping events Black Friday and Cyber Monday, this year’s #GivingTuesday will take place on November 27 and will kick off the giving season by inspiring people to collaborate and give back.
