THE LEAFLET
Sign Up to Prune the Famous Cherry Trees
Join Casey Trees and the National Park Service for a special opportunity to prune the summer suckers of the historic cherry trees. Suckers are an adventitious shoot which grows from a bud at the base of a tree or directly from its roots. Pruning these suckers allows for the tree to redirect its energy into growth within its canopy and producing those beautiful blooms and berries.
No experience is necessary to sign up. We have many opportunities available, but don’t wait to sign up! These spots will go fast.
