Measure for Pleasure! Volunteer with Casey Trees this Spring and Summer

Join us at one of the many classes, workshops and park inventories throughout the District! Whether you want to get your hands dirty, learn more about trees, or pitch in where you can, we have something for everyone.

April 14 | Trees 201: Tree Identification Workshop
Are you enthused and curious about the naturally rooted structures around you? Feeling cooped up after the winter? Come refine your tree species identification and knowledge with us this spring!

April 27 | Arbor Day Park Inventory: Gallaudet University
Come Celebrate Arbor Day with Casey Trees and take part in our first tree inventory of the season. Want to learn more about the tree species surrounding you? You will use different tools to collect important data that will inform management, care and spread of trees in this space.

May 12 | Fort Reno
Come put your tree skills to the test at a civil war battle site! We’ll be at Fort Reno and inventory trees at D.C.’s highest natural point.

May 23 | Market Park and Marion Park

Cooped up in an office all day? Join us at Market & Marion Park to inventory trees in Southeast. These trees have never been surveyed and their management is in our hands!

June 9 | Volta Park
Come enjoy this green oasis at the heart of Georgetown! Want to explore a new green space? We’ll see you there.

June 20 | John Marshall Park
Take in some fresh air while you finesse your tree species knowledge and join us downtown at John Marshall Park to inventory trees.

July 14 |Banneker Recreation Center
Banneker is so much more than a pool! Enjoy the great outdoors and learn something new while helping us determine the size, species, and health of trees at the rec center.
