Dear Tree Advocate,
Join us for 3 exciting advocacy events this fall!
Make the most of your lunch hour. Meet with two of the District’s most influential park planners. Chris Shaheen with the D.C. Office of Planning and Tammy Stidham of the National Park Service will discuss new small parks strategies to improve the DC’s littles green spaces (triangles, medians, circles, and pocket parks) and lead us on a small parks tour in Capitol Hill. *Complementary lunch will be provided.
Money to fund DC’s urban forest doesn’t grow on trees. Jim Spaulding, Associate Deputy of the Chief Financial Officer (OCFO), will breakdown the District’s budget process and discuss your role in ensuring our city’s trees get prioritized. **Exclusive opportunity for Certified Tree Advocates.
Councilmember Allen was the driving force behind the Tree Canopy Protection Amendment Act. Here’s your chance to thank him and ask him what’s on tap for next year. Breakfast is on us!
