A Closer Look at Tree Bark with Michael Wojtech

March 10 @ 10:00 am - 2:00 pm UTC-4

Stumped by tree species traits during the winter months? Do you want to learn more about your urban forest despite seasonal changes? Join renowned naturalist and author Michael Wojtech for an in-depth exploration of bark, a tree characteristic visible through every season!
Through an animated lecture and outdoor workshop exploring the Arboretum, we will navigate why species have varying traits from smooth to thick, broken or peeling features. With the absence of leaves, buds and flowers, this examination and ecological insight will give you a greater appreciation for these living resources. Open to naturalists and stewards at all levels of experience!
