Fill Your Calendar and Heart with Joy: Volunteer with Us This Spring

After Winter 2.0 last week it is safe to say we can all use some warmer activities to look forward to. Fear not! With Park Inventory spots still available, we also have more plantings and classes for you.

Friday, March 30 | Community Tree Planting |  Johnson Middle School
Spend a special spring break day planting trees at a local D.C. middle school.

Saturday, April 7 | Non-Native Invasive Plant Removal | Rock Creek Park
Come learn how to identify and control non-native, invasive plants and how they are threatening our native landscapes. The course consists of a classroom session followed by a field session, so please dress accordingly.

Saturday, April 7 | Community Tree Planting | Kramer Middle School
Help us as we not only add new trees to the school’s campus, but also inspire the next generation of tree planters and protectors!

Friday, April 20 | Community Tree Planting | Loomis Park
Kick off your weekend by planting trees and greening this District park.

Saturday, May 19 | Community Tree Planting | Suitland Parkway
We are excited to be asked back to host another large tree planting at Suitland Parkway. Trees will not only add interest to this commuter corridor, but they’ll add a noise buffer for neighbors and aid in stormwater runoff management.
