Get into the Holiday Spirit: Give the Gift of your Time
This Giving Tuesday why not think of giving the most precious gift of all — your time! Casey Trees volunteer opportunities and community events support the restoration of DC’s urban forest!
We need you this holiday season, so won’t you consider joining us for what can be one of the most rewarding experiences of all: planting trees. Most events are free and open to the public, and cannot succeed without enthusiastic participation from those who generously give of their time.
December 3, 2016 | Volunteer: Whitehurst Community Tree Planting
Situated between Foggy Bottom and Georgetown, you might not even notice this area until now! We will be planting 50 shade trees to create a vegetated buffer along the Whitehurst Freeway.
January 28, 2017 | Class: Trees 101
Join us for our premier introductory course covering tree anatomy, tree identification, and an overview of the benefits of Washington’s urban forest. This class is our premier on-boarding volunteer opportunity and will only be offered twice a year, so you won’t want to miss it!
Check out our full events calendar here. Hope you can make it!
