THE LEAFLET

It takes just $24 to make a difference for D.C.’s trees

What could $24 do for D.C.’s trees? What about $48? Even $124? Do More 24 — a 24-hour online day of giving powered by the United Way of the National Capital Area — is this Thursday, June 4. And we’re asking for your support.

Last year, individuals across the District donated more than $1.1 million to nonprofits serving the D.C. community, allowing these organizations to better our community in diverse ways.

And once again, Casey Trees is taking part.

Donation amounts are set at $24, $48, $124, $240 and $480 and donations can be made through our custom donation page on June 4 from 12:00 a.m. to 11:59 p.m. that evening.

Your gift of $24 can…
Cover the cost to water 50 newly planted trees, helping to ensure that they will survive the brutal D.C. summer temperatures.

Your gift of $48 can…
Cover the cost to water 100 newly planted trees.

Your gift of $124 can…
Cover the cost to water 258 newly planted trees.

Your gift of $240 can…
Cover the cost to water 500 newly planted trees.

Your gift of $480 can…
Cover the cost to water 1000 newly planted trees.

We ask that you show your support for D.C.’s trees this summer and spread the word using the #DoMore24 hashtag.

Thanks for Doing More this June 4!
