25 to Stay Alive Pledge

Pledging to water your trees with 25 gallons of water each week in the spring, summer and fall, when less than 1.5 inches of rain falls in the District, is a simple way to help preserve our urban forest and ensure the District lives up to its moniker as the City of Trees.

When you pledge to water your trees, we will mail you a complimentary rain gauge so you can track weekly rainfall totals at your home. If less than 1.5 inches of rain falls, it is time to practice 25 to Stay Alive and water your trees the recommended 25 gallons of water. You can also pick up a free slow release watering bag from our office during normal business hours to help you water your trees.

Pledge

I pledge to practice 25 to Stay Alive by watering trees on and surrounding my property with 25 gallons of water each week in times of little or no rainfall during the spring, summer and fall. I will use the rain gauge provided to me by Casey Trees to monitor rainfall totals on my property and water trees accordingly.

Please note all fields are required in order to process your rain gauge request. Mail gauges can only be sent within a 25 mile radius of D.C.
