The date is confirmed and the venue is booked. Now we just need you to mark your calendar — Thursday, April 28, 2016 — for the Third Annual Canopy Awards.

For newcomers, the Canopy Awards is Casey Trees’ flagship event that highlights the accomplishments of those working to boost and protect D.C.’s tree canopy, raises funds and gets you out for a night of fun.

And rest assured, the Canopy Awards is not a stuffy affair. Last year we created “Camp Casey Trees” and made everyone brave campers. Guests raced regatta boats, danced to bands, dashed off letterpress postcards to home, dined in the mess hall, and grabbed their beers out of a docked canoe.

So what’s this year’s theme? You gotta come to the party to find out. We’ll probably give you a few clues here and there but you won’t want to park it at home and miss the all the fun.
