Garden Club of America Fellowship

Time is ticking to apply for the Garden Club of America (GCA)  Zone VI Fellowship in Urban Forestry. Complete applications are due Sunday, January 31.

The GCA, a volunteer nonprofit organization comprised of 200 member clubs, passionately devote their energies and expertise to a wide array of projects in their communities.  To promote a greater understanding of the interdependence of horticulture, environmental protection and community involvement, the GCA annually awards more than $300,000 in scholarships.

Casey Trees is pleased to partner with the GCA to administer the GCA VI Fellowship in Urban Forestry, which aims to advance the field of urban forestry and encourage students to study the planning, management, horticulture and ecology of urban forests and the effect of healthy urban forests on people and the environment.

Eligibility is open to advanced undergraduate and graduate students enrolled in U.S. institutions studying urban forestry, environmental studies, horticulture, forestry or related programs. We encourage all eligible students to apply and look forward to reviewing applicant’s materials in the coming weeks.  Final award decision will be announced in late March.
