Casey Trees Events

Volunteer at a Community Planting or Stewardship Event

We work with neighborhood groups to plant trees on public and private property each fall and spring. In the summer, we water and mulch young trees across the city. Join us! We will provide all the tools and instruction, you provide the desire to plant and care for a tree!

Citizen Forester Training

Citizen Foresters re-tree D.C. through a variety of activities including tree planting and stewardship, assisting in school programs, advocating for trees and greenspace, and reaching out to the public at various special events. As a Citizen Forester you will complete a combination of classroom instruction, field training, and community service. A panel of Casey Trees staff and other local experts lead the sessions. The program includes three core modules and other advanced courses.
