Celebrate Parks and Recreation Month with Peter Harnik, Director of the Trust for Public Land’s Center for City Park Excellence.

Guest Speaker

Peter Harnik is a sought-after speaker on the relationship between cities and parks and a recognized expert on what makes urban park systems great. He is an author and co-founded both the Rails-to-Trails Conservancy and the Coalition for the Capital Crescent Trail.

Getting There

The Brookland-CUA (Red Line) metro station is about a 10 minute walk. The Metrobus stops near the intersection of 12th and Irving Street NE (served by the H8) and at the Brookland-CUA Metro station (served by the H2, H4, H6, G8, R4 and 80). At our office, there is ample street parking and we accommodate bicycles on-site, including a Capital Bikeshare station directly outside our office on Irving Street.
