Get TreeWise This Summer

In a few short weeks, D.C.-area schools will be out for the summer. Some kids will spend their days at camp, making macaroni necklaces or learning tuneless songs. Casey Trees wants to add to their experience with our summer education program, TreeWise, which gets kids outdoors learning about trees.

Scavenger hunts teach them about the different parts of the tree; bark rubbings teach them how a tree protects itself; the experience teaches them to appreciate trees and everything they do for us.

Our TreeWise team travels to different camps within 25 miles of D.C. to work with students for a couple hours. The camp counselors need to be present to help with their charges, but Casey Trees leads the sessions free of charge.
