CTP Recap: American University
Earlier this week we were out planting near the American University Community Garden with 36 great volunteers. Some of the volunteers were representing Ecosense and the AU Office of Sustainability, and many of the other helpers were members of the AU community.
The groups were led by Lead Citizen Foresters Jennifer Jones and Ian Tollar-Clark, and Joshua Kaplan was our Project Organizer.
We added 22 trees to the grounds, 16 of which were fruit trees, including figs, pawpaws, persimmons and cherries. The other trees were shade trees: sweetgums, oaks and an American linden.
Thanks to everyone who came out for the Community Tree Planting! You can see more of the fun on our Flickr page.
